Graphic-Con is an annual, one day fan convention held in Sudbury, Ontario to promote literacy and the arts by celebrating the various forms of media and creative expression found in popular culture.
Who is the organizer of Graphic-Con?
Graphic-Con is organized by a volunteer committee comprised of a wide array of community members of differing backgrounds. This committee is guided by a volunteer not-for-profit Board of Directors who may or may not also be involved in the actual planning of the annual event.

Graphic-Con 2023 is being held at the Sudbury Community Arena located at 240 Elgin St., Sudbury, Ontario.
When is Graphic-Con 2023 being held?
Graphic-Con 2023 is being held on Saturday, June 24th, 2023.
What are the hours of Graphic-Con?
Graphic-Con will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the day of the event.
Tickets ExpandHow much are tickets to Graphic-Con?
Tickets to Graphic-Con are $13 for adults and FREE for children under 11.
How do I purchase a ticket to Graphic-Con?

What is your refund policy?
Unfortunately, all sales are final and we are not able to offer refunds.
Why does my child need a “free” ticket?
We require that children under 11 be issued a $0 ticket to help us track attendance, both for our records and to manage capacity at the Sudbury Community Arena.
Parking & Access ExpandWhere do I park at Graphic-Con?
Parking at all municipal lots and parking meters is free on Saturdays.
How do I get into Graphic-Con once I arrive?
Entry to Graphic-Con will be via the Box Office entrance of the Sudbury Community Arena. There will be two lines; one for those who have pre-purchased tickets, and one line for those who need to acquire tickets through the Box Office.
Why am I required to stand in a line if I have already purchased my ticket for Graphic-Con?
Graphic-Con is a first-come, first-served event. Due to fire regulations, we cannot go over the room’s capacity. We are bound by law to enforce fire regulations. In the event of lineups we ask that you follow instructions and not block any entrances or fire exits.
Will I have in and out privileges once I enter Graphic-Con?
If you plan on exiting the arena with the intention of returning to Graphic-Con, you will need to present yourself to Sudbury Community Arena staff at the front doors prior to leaving to have your hand stamped. You will require a hand stamp along with your ticket in order to gain reentry.
What is your bag policy?
For security reasons backpacks and duffel bags are not permitted in the arena. Staff are not permitted to assume responsibility or store personal belongings. Any personal property left unattended will be immediately removed. Plastic and canvas shopping bags will be permitted but may be subject to search by staff.
Are there any other venue rules and regulations which I should be aware of before entering the event?
When entering Graphic-Con you are agreeing to all rules governing the event. You are obligated to follow instructions from staff & volunteers at all times. If any criminal behaviour is observed we will immediately contact the police.

Accessibility ExpandWhat is your accessibility policy?
Graphic-Con treats all attendees, including those with special access needs with respect and dignity. Attendees with disabilities are required to pay full admission, however, one attendant/caregiver may receive complimentary admission when requested.
What are the accessibility options at Graphic-Con for persons with disabilities?
The Sudbury Community Arena is wheelchair accessible. The elevator is located on the south-east corner (Minto street) for persons with disabilities requiring assistance to access the upper-level.
Service animals to persons with disabilities are also permitted.

What about changes regarding a guest or programming event after it has been announced?
Announced events and guests are subject to change and/or cancellation without notice. Every effort will be made to announce any changes on the Graphic-Con website and social media pages.
What is a panel?
A panel is a discussion with guests of Graphic-Con which is most often moderated by a host. A panel may also include a Question and Answer period in which the audience can ask questions of the guest.
How much does it cost to attend a panel?
Attending any of the panels presented by Graphic-Con is FREE with admission to the event unless otherwise stated.
Autographs, Photographs & Guests ExpandWho is coming to Graphic-Con?
Announcements about who is coming to Graphic-Con will be made through our social media platforms, but once announced all guests can be found on our Guests page.
Will I be able to get a guest autograph?
Most guests will happily sign items at their table for Graphic-Con attendees. In some cases, a guest may charge a fee for a signature, or will sign an item purchased from their table. All signatures are at the discretion of the guest and inquiries should be made directly at their table.
What can I get signed?
The type and quantity of items that may be signed for a Graphic-Con attendee is solely at the discretion of the guest from whom the autograph is being sought.
Can I take photographs while at Graphic-Con?
Photographs ARE permitted at Graphic-Con, however, we would ask that you obtain consent prior to taking any photographs of specific persons, such as guests or cosplayers. Please review our Harassment Policy.
Can I take a selfie with (guest name) using my own camera/phone?
Certain guests of Graphic-Con may allow for the taking of selfies or photographs with them using your own camera/smartphone. However, some guests may charge for any photographs, or may not wish to take photographs at all. It is best to inquire directly with the guest or any handlers/staff at their table before taking a photograph.
Cosplay ExpandCan I come in costume to Graphic-Con?
Attending Graphic-Con in costume is not only permitted, but it is encouraged.
Are there dressing rooms available for me to put my cosplay costume on?
We will not have dedicated dressing rooms for cosplayers to change in, only public washrooms. Attendees are encouraged to arrive in costume to the event.
Are there any rules about what type of costume I can wear?
Yes. Please refer to our Cosplay and Weapons Policies for further details.
Safety ExpandWill there be security at the event?
Yes, security at the event is provided by the Sudbury Community Arena.
What happens if there is a medical emergency?
Graphic-Con will have several first aid trained volunteers at the event, and police/fire/ambulance will be called in the case of emergencies.
What are the rules regarding attendee behaviour at the event?

Are attendees allowed to bring weapons to the event?
No functioning firearms, blades, or other forms of weaponry are permitted at Graphic-Con. Some attendees who have chosen to cosplay for the event may have replica weapons as part of their costume. All weapons are screened upon entry and deemed to be safe. Please see our Weapons Policy for more information.

Where can I get information about applying as an exhibitor at Graphic-Con?
Information about applying to be an exhibitor at Graphic-Con can be found under the Apply tab in the main menu. At this time, applications are closed for artists and vendors.
I’m not registered as an exhibitor, but I wanted to sell and promote something I’ve been working on at the event. Where can I do that?
No commercial activities are permitted at Graphic-Con, unless you are registered as an exhibitor.
Visitor Information ExpandCan I bring food or drink into Graphic-Con?
Outside food or drink is not permitted inside Graphic-Con.
Is there anywhere to eat at Graphic-Con?
The Sudbury Community Arena has several concession stands located throughout the building operated by the Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club. The Sudbury Community Arena is a nut-free facility. Please note that the concession stands are cash only.
Will I be able to buy alcohol at Graphic-Con?
Graphic-Con is a family-oriented event and as such alcohol will not be sold.
Where can I go if I need to take a break or want to hang out with friends during the event?
The stadium seating of the arena is open and available to anyone who wishes to sit down or gather. We would ask that people refrain from gathering in the concourses and hallways to facilitate a free-flowing environment for other attendees. We also encourage attendance at our fantastic panels if you’d like an opportunity to rest your feet.

Does Graphic-Con have an official hotel?
The Travelway Inn is an official sponsor of Graphic-Con and will offer preferred rates to attendees.
